Kaðyauð/Kaðyauðun [kɑːð-jaʊ-ðən]
"Battle-of-sticks" Denic stick fighting.
A 1-1 duel using straight narrow sticks. Players score by landing blows on their opponent, different parts of the body have different poin values: 1 for legs, thighs, hands, and forearms, 2 for the upperarm and back, 3 for torso, shoulder, and gut. Striking the head or neck is discouraged and rewards no points in regulated matches, though casual matches may differ. Disarming an opponent results in automatic victory. Contestants may fight with or without a buckler in the off-hand for defense and deflection
